Messages sent from Canvas will only be distributed by email if the course is published.

Once the course is published, you can use the announcements tool to send messages to the entire class, or the Canvas Inbox to send messages to different combinations of students (e.g. one student, a few students, or the whole class).

If you would like to contact the class before you publish the Canvas course, you have three options:

Export the email addresses and copy them directly into an email you create in Outlook (see guidance for exporting the roster just below)
Email students from the roster in myFramingham
Email students from Starfish

To find a list of the email addresses associated with the course:

Click New Analytics
Select Reports
Select Roster
